Alani McKenna

Textile Background

I was first  introduced to the world of textiles  when hand sewing for  Rowan McLennan Design in the summer of 2008  and I have been addicted ever since.  I went on to complete an honours degree in Textile Design at Massey University in 2014. 

I have developed skills and knowledge in surface design, screen printing, dye, fabric manipulation, construction, digital design and fabric application by working in the film industry.  I have played a part in sourcing, designing and producing fabrics for both the Art and Costume Departments.

I produce artwork and custom bespoke textiles in-between contracts.
